Auto download doesnt auto download anymore. Not when it should anyway. Annoying when you open the app to listen and nothing is ready. Looking for an alternative.... It gave me several good years though.

Im a podcast poweruser... if you are too then this app may not be for you because it is slowly falling apart. Up next list contains several duplicates. When I play all in the up next list, it fails to play the next episode and stops... a showstopper for me. Loading podcasts is extremely sluggish. App freezes sometimes which requires a hard kill. Sometimes my up next list gets wiped out (and it takes a long time for me to curate that content). Quality has generally decreased for this app & I do not recommend.

This podcast app (podcatcher) is the best available. A few of my favorite features: - ease of adding podcasts to up next / now playing queue - Apple Watch notifications to make pods as played or add them to existing "now playing" list - shows listening stats including time saved via skipping ahead, total time listened - skips white space during pods (no speaking is occurring) - 3D Touch enabled for the app icon - dark and light mode themes - has a companion website that syncs with the app to keep up with your listening progress - syncs works fairly well (iPad to iPhone to iPod touch to website) - well designed interface - makes finding new podcasts easy via its search page which shows trending podcasts - Ability to create smart playlists - volume boost - multiple play pack speeds that can be applied to all or individual podcast - small install size - Listening stats show how many hours days etc. spent listening along with the time saved from skipping, listening speed adjustments, etc. - MANY MORE that I forgot.

Fantastic app. Interface is beautiful, havent found a single bug, and the settings for choosing which apps to download and when are genius. Stop looking and get this now.

I really love this app. Ive used many podcast apps, but this is my favorite. Id love to see Apple TV support so I can enjoy my podcasts EVERYWHERE. But even without it, its the best yet. Thank you!

Pocketcast is easily my most used app on both my iPhone and iPad. The interface is a pleasure to use and the developer consistently updates with new features.

I love your update notes! But maybe try to implement the oportunity again to completly delete episodes, not just grey them out. My list is to long... Nevertheless, best app! Thank you.

I love this app, however, it has a very annoying bug. When I pause it then start playing again using earbud controls, sometimes it takes several seconds for it to play. Then once it does and I lock the phone screen, the playback will pause. When I unlock it itll start playing again. I have to restart the app for it to work correctly again. I understand bugs sneak through but I would think for a paid app it would work correctly or at least have bugs squashed quickly. This bug has been around for quite some time. UPDATE: It appears that the play/pause bug has been fixed. Changing to a 5 star rating. Great job developers!

Okay, I cannot guarantee it is the best - because, after I found this, I stopped looking! It does it all, and does it well. Good job!

I have been looking at this app for quite a long time. From the hype I believed this app would be the end all for podcast apps. I was sadly mistaken. It has some very useful features but not as many as another podcast app that I have been using for about 2 years that is FREE! I would like my $4 back please.

I really like Pocket Casts ability to sync seamlessly across platforms. Ive been getting a lot of use out of the web player to find subscriptions and such and playing them immediately on my iPhone (iTunes has been having issues with that lately, plus the Podcasts app crashes every time it syncs, which is apparently an issue that has come up repeatedly ever since they split it off from the Music app; I wouldnt know, as Ive only been using it for about a month). My only complaints here are a couple of things that seem like fairly obvious features: 1) As others have mentioned, certain settings like sort order and playback speed should be possible to set defaults for globally. I want ALL of my subscriptions to display oldest->newest without having to change them individually. Apples catcher suffers from the same oversight and I dont understand why. 2) The "Play all from here" function doesnt seem to work when sorting is oldest->newest. If I choose this in the middle of a playlist, it will "advance" to earlier episodes, so it seems that the sort order just doesnt affect this function. The "up next" queue works well, so at least there is a workaround for a listening session, but this isnt practical for binge listening to something with years worth of episodes, and still mildly annoying for smaller ones. If it wasnt for the fact that they charge $4 for this app, it would be 4* even with these flaws. I fell that at least the second one is a bug that cant be excused in a paid app. I do feel that this is the best podcast app available for multiple platforms at the moment, and Im looking forward to seeing issues addressed in the near future.

Lately, this app has gotten incredibly laggy. It takes up to five seconds to register that I chose a podcast to play. I subscribe to many podcasts, but the simple act of playing one shouldnt take so long. Im looking at alternative apps, but I hope this issue gets resolved ASAP, as I love everything else. Running on an iPhone 6 64GB with plenty of free space and on 9.3.2.

Ive been a long-time PocketCasts user, but as my library begins to show weird quirks- namely, episodes duplicating themselves, now 4 or 5 times over- and no app updates for new OSs, Im going to consider one of my favorites as now "unsupported". Im going to begin using Overcast instead, and hope PocketCasts makes a return soon.

Deletes saved/downloaded files regardless of settings. Thus i am prompted to burn up my limited data to stream or redownload when i had simply pressed pause and then play with a file i already was listening to while offline. Thats the whole reason i bought this app - to NOT stream data...?

I listen to podcasts all the time. Ive tried them all. At this point, I dont even consider other podcasts apps. This one is the best!

Please add 3D Touch capabilities. Overcast implements it very well, it makes me jealous. I love this app so much more but that feature is killer. Also, maybe some colored themes.

I dont know if its a recent update, or my phone is being weird, but all my downloaded episodes wont play. I tried deleting and redownloading and it still doesnt work.

There should be a master playback speed option you can apply to all ONE time. Back to downcast
