The app is great but its quite unstable on ios10 and 3D touch does not work from the home screen

Love that the app is cross platform & offers seamless sync. One feature I wish the app had was a way to add all new podcasts to the queue but automatically move certain podcasts to the top of the queue.

If playback is interrupted, podcasts will not play afterwards. I have to close/reopen the app, sometimes reboot my phone before they will play again. Other audio/podcast apps work just fine. Very weird, please help!

New update took away the playlist function, which was very useful. New "up next playlist" crashes all the time. If the "add to up next" playlist hits something that it didnt download yet or couldnt play, instead of skipping it, it just crashes the playlist and wipes everything in the playlist clean. Will be switching to a different player soon if major bug not fixed.

Pocket Casts has a bright future as it is quickly becoming the best podcast player currently available! It allows you to save valuable listening time with the key features of Trim Silence and also precise playback speed control. The interface is snappy and well thought out. For anyone currently dissatisfied with Overcast and its new subscription/ad model, Pocket Casts has everything you need including the ability to play video podcasts. One improvement Id like to see is the ability to view past episodes and descriptions when browsing new podcasts in the Discover section and to be able to download single episodes without subscribing. I cant wait to see the developers continue to refine this promising app! Keep the updates and improvements coming.

Listen to a fair number of podcasts. This application simply works like it should work and feels very polished. Its sad that apples app was so dysfunctional I had to use a third party app to get it to work. Allows most basic functionality, such as searching podcasts and subscribing to podcasts. Allows fine tuned per-podcast settings, which is great for "infrequent"podcasts. Its missing a few "nice to haves" like playlists and automatic delete on episodes not listened to for a long time. All in all, very good

A setting where I can have all episodes from one podcast play continuously back to back without having to create a playlist. Also, where is the Apple Watch app?!?!? Come on guys.

The last major update improved a few things, but there are some major gaps. Podcasts should not be added with all but the latest marked played. When I have to restore my phone everything is back to played. The played status should be the same across all devices and platforms. New podcasts should not be played by default. Thats my biggest beef at the moment.

The design, the features, the podcast availability. This is as good as it gets.

Let me first say that I really like this app. For me, it runs neck and neck with Overcast. The area where I find it superior is in the fact that I can set certain podcasts to download automatically. However, there are two simple suggestions I would add to make it hands down the best: First, is a very simple thing...add a setting where I can turn off landscape mode. I prefer to keep it in portrait all the time. Second, I like to be able to listen to individual episodes of a podcast without having to subscribe. In my humble opinion, these two things keep it from being the clear winner in this two-horse race.

Every time I rewind it messes up the audio. Have to restart the app.

Lately, this app has gotten incredibly laggy. It takes up to five seconds to register that I chose a podcast to play. I subscribe to many podcasts, but the simple act of playing one shouldnt take so long. Im looking at alternative apps, but I hope this issue gets resolved ASAP, as I love everything else. Running on an iPhone 7 256GB.

Regret not finding this sooner. Clean UI, amazing features (finer speed controls, silence deletion, variable skips, and more), and reliability! If you love podcasts, you need to try this.

One of if not the best podcast apps out there. Has a very nice design, updated frequently and has a silence trimming feature which is great!

Has always been my go-to app. It only gets better with every update.

This app is great when it works but recently hitting the play button causes the app to crash or the podcast to hang. I have to select a podcast, force close the app and then reopen it occasionally multiple times before a podcast will play properly. Pausing causes the same problem where the app just hangs or freezes entirely until I force close it.

While I love the look and features of this app, the most recent update has drastically lessened its usability. The app is now slow to load and frequently crashes or stops playing mid-podcast. If these issues arent fixed soon, I may have to look for another podcast app.

Easily the best podcast app out there. Buy it! You wont regret it.

Switched from overcast to this app. This app has all the best features with a clean interface and plays videos too. Easier to discover new casts too.
